How To Begin Internet Marketing

How To Begin Internet Marketing

Attracting traffic to your site is a multi-faceted task when you start to learn internet marketing. You are trying to invite as many visitors as possible from lots of different locations, not only on the internet itself but in addition from all points of the planet, depending on your niche.

Internet Marketing Resources

There are loads of internet marketing resources at our disposal these days to accomplish the task and how promptly you gain access to them and put them into action, will fundamentally influence your percentage of visitors and then actual sales. Becoming aware of what the search engines are looking for, how web browsers register your links, headers and website arrangement, how backlinks from articles and advertising on other sites contribute to rankings are just a few of the many aspects you have got to grasp.

None of these aspects are difficult in themselves! It is just that you must become acquainted with these internet marketing strategies and utilise every one as if mustering a team of workhorses that will elevate your page rankings to number 1. One of the most significant and useful marketing tactics to put into place is a keyword research tool. Using this enables you to aim for the exact market by finding what words people are keying in, what they are searching for the most frequently, with the least amount of competition and with the best likelihood of buying - very helpful information!

Keywords are Powerful

Once you have recognized powerful keywords, (preferably 5-10), make certain they are scattered all the way through your website. Keyword density is one of the most valuable SEO (Search Engine Optimization) strategies because search engines like to provide Internet users with the most relevant websites for specific search terms. Let those relevant websites be yours!

The very first spot your keywords should be seen is in your domain name. This is an cost that is inevitable but domains need not be as expensive as you may imagine and some study in this area will be well rewarded. Keywords are King when you start internet marketing, so have them in front of you, literally on a Notepad, when you are establishing your website and working on your SEO.

Search Engine Tracking

Search engine tracking is founded on complicated algorithms attracted by activity on your site, appropriate and notable information that is keyword dense and reference to other sites throughout. SEO is not only determined by keywords, but also use of backlinks (also called inbound links) to other high ranking webpages, meta tagging (that is keyword-rich) headers (titles for posts and sub-headings within them), frequent activity on your site with articles, video input and so on.

Here's a tip: hasten the process of search engines identifying you by registering with their directories - even the lesser ones.

Social Media

Last but not least, another source for traffic is the use of social media: appropriate forums and platforms such as Yahoo Answers; popular social tools such as Facebook & Twitter and social bookmarking sites such as Digg, Technorati and Delicious. Becoming a helpful member will win people's confidence and draw them to your site.

These are just some of the internet marketing strategies that will launch you to a page one ranking, and very fast.

CPA Affiliate Programs

CPA Affiliate Programs

If your ambition is to generate money online, via CPA or any affiliate programs for that matter, one simple and easy money making idea is to begin by simply modelling yourself on someone who has already experienced the same kind of success you require, and then copy them. There is no need to try to re-invent the wheel from scratch when you can simply follow someone else's proven path to success.

At the beginning, most people are in the "Information Mode" where they are learning how to get going in the right direction in the correct niche with profit pulling products. But, if you do not avail yourself of this information to take action, you will never find your way to successful online income. Generally, you will first go through "Information Overload" causing you to give up and this is the precise reason why most people fail to make any money online. That's why, to quickly get past this initial obstacle, you will require a step-by-step system that maps out a practical idea of precisely what has to be done.

Learn Affiliate Marketing

Another important way to begin, is by working with a mentor or a personal success coach. This can be the fastest and easiest course to reaching your personal income goals. A personal coach will easily pinpoint when you are failing before you can. They have been down that exact same road often before you, and they understand how to steer clear of the obstacles that lie in front of you. This is extremely vital if you want to learn how to effectively make money online and fast. There is also the option of purchasing a video package and there are plenty of those around.. I can also recommend that you take a look at these videos Cash 4 Sign Ups

Right now, you want to get your business in profit-mode as soon as possible so following a coach or mentor will get you there more quickly. They will supply you with the required steps and your main job is to merely follow those steps. A pre-warning: One problem you will certainly come across is being able to follow the steps without being distracted or sidelined. You will find many other people and/or programs that guarantee you the "easiest and fastest" way, but be assured that if you jump around from coach to coach, you're only going to slow down your progress.

CPA Offers

For instance, affiliate programs such as CPA (Cost Per Action) affiliate marketing can be a bit of a challenge, but it is amongst the highest paying affiliate programs. When one becomes a CPA affiliate, an income is received based on either a sale, registration, or the "action" of the individual who has clicked the advertisement from the affiliate's site. To be taught from a knowledgeable coach that has been down this precise road and overcome all the obstacles in CPA affiliate marketing is strongly suggested. Complementing that with a comprehensive system will considerably shorten the learning curve that comes with making money online using CPA affiliate marketing, or any affiliate programs for that matter.

Essentially, the same applies to other forms of business as well: engage a coach and follow their system!
Second best to that is to buy a course and Cash 4 Sign Ups

Google Reveals Factors for Ranking Tweets

Google Reveals Factors for Ranking Tweets

I have to confess I did not write this blog post... it is very good and I feel best left the way it is rather than changing it and re-inventing the wheel.

I have always said that Google ranks Tweets as I have witnessed it in my own marketing.. so here is the proof..
I know many people don't want to tweet, they feel its a waste of time.. well if you want to get ranked quickly then tweeting is what you can do to speed it all up.

It's ok to say "no" to Twitter if that's your thing. There's a chance that it just doesn't fit into your strategy or help you achieve your goals. That's cool. However, if it is your thing, you may be interested in how Google ranks tweets. That is if search marketing is your thing.

Do you see Twitter as important to an effective search marketing campaign? Share your thoughts.

Google and Microsoft almost simultaneously announced deals with Twitter a few months back, that would give the companies access to tweets in real-time to fuel their respective search engines' real-time results. Microsoft immediately launched their version, but it was separate from the regular Bing search engine. Google waited a while, but eventually started incorporating real-time results right into regular Google SERPs (including not only tweets, but various other sources).

After the Twitter deals were announced, Bing came out and said, "If someone has a lot of followers, his/her Tweet may get ranked higher. If a tweet is exactly the same as other Tweets, it will get ranked lower."

Amit Singhal Google was not as vocal about how it would rank tweets and other real-time results, but the company has now shed a bit of light on that via an interview with MIT's Technology Review. David Talbot interviewed Google "Fellow" Amit Singhal, who has led development of real-time search at the company. According to him, Google also ranks tweets by followers to an extent, but it's not just about how many followers you get. It's about how reputable those followers are.

Singhal likens the system to the well-known Google system of link popularity. Getting good links from reputable sources helps your content in Google, so having followers with that some kind of authority theoretically helps your tweets rank in Google's real-time search.

"One user following another in social media is analogous to one page linking to another on the Web. Both are a form of recommendation," Singhal says. "As high-quality pages link to another page on the Web, the quality of the linked-to page goes up. Likewise, in social media, as established users follow another user, the quality of the followed user goes up as well."

But that's only one factor.

Do you commonly use hashtags in your tweets? If your goal is to rank in Google's real-time search index, you may want to cut down on that practice, because according to Singhal, that is a big red flag for a lower quality tweet. This seems to be part of Google's spam control strategy.

Another noteworthy excerpt from the interview:

Another problem: how, if someone is searching for "Obama," to sift through White House press tweets and thousands of others to find the most timely and topical information. Google scans tweets to find the "signal in the noise," he says. Such a "signal" might include a new onslaught of tweets and other blogs that mention "Cambridge police" or "Harry Reid" near mentions of "Obama." By looking out for such signals, Google is able to furnish real-time hits that contain the freshest subject matter even for very common search terms.

Well, we certainly know more about Google's strategy for tweet ranking now, but there are still plenty of questions about it. What is Google's stance is on Ghost Tweeting? Are Google's ranking factors a good reason to create and follow more Twitter lists in hopes for gaining more reputable industry followers?

The factors mentioned aren't the only ones Google employs. It's not like Google is going to tell us everything. It also helps to keep in mind that real-time search spans far beyond just tweets. Still, Twitter is clearly a big part of it, and even the significance of tweets themselves will evolve in time.

Google says it hopes to factor in geo-location data (with regards to tweets) into the real-time search results at some point. Google and Twitter engineers frequently collaborate on real-time search, which Google itself says is evolving.

By the way, it stands to reason that Google's strategy for ranking tweets probably shares similarities for how it ranks content from other sources drawn from for real-time search.

PLR Article Software

Sometimes things come across my desk that I just find too amazing for words and I have to say that the latest software from James Jones ( author of Micro Niche Finder) comes into that category.

PLR Article Software is a software package that has over 20,000 articles in it that have no copy write on them so you are free to use them as they are or you can spin them into lots of different articles.

In the video on the sales page James will show you right before your eyes how you can type into the search box for whatever topic you want, then all the articles come up on the page, you can then go through and select the articles you want and then the magic begins... you can then press a couple of buttons and "hey-presto" you have an e-book all ready to go with chapters or what ever way you would like the contents to be displayed. It really is amazing, and really takes away any excuses you might have had when you said you had nothing to give away on your web site...
Now you do, it really is awesome software, so go over to the site and take a look.

Imagine if you could create an eBook in just 10 minutes and then put it up on your site as a giveaway just so you could build a database.... as we all know Database is king, I say that over and over.

Easy way to make money

It really is an easy way to make money and build your list at the same time. In time you will be able to add your own articles and then there will be nothing to hold you back :-)

New FTC Guidelines

New FTC Guidelines

As of the 1st Dec the new FTC guidelines came into being.... what does that mean for you and me... well if you are an Affiliate promoter of any sort, then there are some guidelines that you need to take a look at...

Now it's all pretty simple... there is much discussion out there and it's abit hard to find the real answer as it's abit hard to find people who agree.

So let's take a look and not make it all too hard...

I am not a lawyer so and therefore the information provided in this post is my opinion only and not legally binding. It is solely your responsibility to ensure you interpret the FTC guidelines for yourself. Here is a link to the FTC site for you: FTC Guidelines and also read the guidelines.

The first thing that I want to say is that I personally think that what the FTC are doing is a good thing, and I support it. After all they are essentially cleaning up the internet and removing dodgy non-transparent websites. There are lots of sharks and charlatans out there so it is good to keep a handle on it all. There has to be laws to cover those who think they are above the law...

How many of you have read a testimony and then you find that you have been scammed. I don’t think it is fair when you read a so called testimony about someone’s experience with a product that is either completely false, or an extreme example and no way likely to be the result the average user would experience.

The classic copy writing technique of telling a story along the lines of “I struggled with XYZ also, and I tried everything but nothing helped, then I tried AFFILIATE PRODUCT, and it fixed XYZ immediately, you should try it too!!”, I feel is now a thing of the past, and rightly so. We also need to be very careful that we don't fall into the trap of saying we are using this or that program when it is clear that we are not..

Everybody, and I am sure you included, want a fair deal and to be told the truth, and this new policy from the FTC demanding transparency is only going to create that for us all. So it's a good thing and all we need to do is play by their rules and we will be fine.

Although the Big Gun websites will most likely be the target of the FTC first, it does not mean that small affiliates are exempt, and if you do get a fine from the FTC they are $11,000 each violation, so not something you really want to be messing with. However you do get a warning first apparently, but best not to go there I think.

I don't think we need to be afraid we just need to be careful that we don't give false evidence and neither do we promote products that we find really hard to believe even with testimonials.

Just in case you live outside of the United States like I do, please don’t be fooled into thinking that these new rules don’t apply to you, because if you are marketing to someone in the United States then you are liable.

What Am I Doing?

Well to be honest with you, I have done nothing as yet, but now I am clear on what to do I will be going my way through my sites and sorting them out. I have affiliate links in the pages of my sites that d not clearly explain my relationship to the merchant, ie. that I get commission from this relationship.

-

Therefore from what I understand of the FTC new guidelines, is that they require affiliates to disclose all their links and inform the visitor that their links are in fact sponsored links, and also disclose if they have never actually used the product they are recommending. So that's exactly what I will be doing... I will add on my pages that these are sponsored links, and if I have not used the product then I will state that I have not...

-

So here is what I will be doing..... an example from a Internet Marketer I admire.. on my websites I will place a sentence underneath each affiliate link that says: The above link is a sponsored affiliate link, the owner of this site is not a bona fide user of this product”.......
-
-

So if you have not actually tried a product then you must make that clear so that the visitor to your website is aware of that, and they are also aware that you get paid commission from the merchant for recommending their products.

-

If you are a product owner then there are some more things that you need to know and once again I encourage to read the guidelines for yourself. However one key thing that I took from the guidelines is that the use of testimonials has changed. You are no longer allowed to include a testimonial and simply state that the result may not be typical, and the FTC now require ‘Generally Expected Results’.

-

From what I can gather ‘Generally Expected Results’ are scientifically proven, with data, and reflect an average result for a certain number of people tested. So you can no longer place any testimonial you like on your websites, and instead must do the required testing, and if you can, then include ‘Generally Expected Results’.

Check The Merchants Out!

As an affiliate you can also be held liable if the merchant that you are recommending is not meeting the guidelines of the FTC. So make sure that you review the merchants claims and ask them also if they feel they are inline with the FTC rules.

What Sites Should I Be Updating?

The most simple and safe bet is all your sites. Whether they be on social media sites like Squidoo, or Twitter posts, or Wordpress blogs, it doesn’t matter, you still must be transparent.

However if you have banner ads on your site, that are clearly advertising then apparently these are fine and do not require any further disclosure, because they are considered obvious advertising and one would assume that the website owner is receiving some form of payment for including the advertisement.

That’s all from me, and once again I am not a lawyer so please read the guidelines for yourself.

I trust that is helpful to you all... I must thank Matt for his help on this.

It's all clear now... So you know what to do... go and do it.

How Affiliate Marketers Can Give Google the Slap

Wordpress Affiliate ClickBank Plugin

How Affiliate Marketers Can Give Google the Slap

I've used a lot of different affiliate marketing methods and find one of them to be the most effective.

Article marketing is cool, except the article directory gets to keep all the ad revenue and they are getting more particular about what articles they accept.

Review sites are OK, but does anyone really trust the reviews they read on those sites anymore? Most people know by now that review sites are just disguised sales pitches and aren't honest reviews.

Social media is fun, but it has its limits. It's more about socialising, less about doing business. Sure, you can make connections there but at the end of the day the lion's share of your profits likely isn't coming from social media. Social media sites are not the most important place on the web.

So what is?

Your own blog. .....

.....In my opinion, there's nothing like having your own blog, especially if you use WordPress. WordPress makes blogging much easier and more effective.

Your blog is your castle. YOU get to decide which content to put on it and don't have to wait a week for someone else to approve it.

YOU get to keep your ad revenue. If you use Google Adsense, however, chances are it's more like Google Adcents. And don't get me started on Google slaps.

That's why it's more effective to promote affiliate products on your blog rather than rely on Adsense. Affiliate commissions have a much higher payout than ad clicks.

One option is to have a "blog sponsor" section in your sidebar. Place ads here (preferably with eye-catching graphics rather than just text) that link to select affiliate products and also your own products if you have any.

Another option is to occasionally write a blog post that promotes an affiliate product. The posts should contain solid content in addition to the sales pitch. Write the post as if you were talking to a friend so that it doesn't come across as too sales-y.

Don't forget to have an opt-in form on your blog so that you can collect the email addresses of your blog readers.

You can occasionally promote affiliate products through email to your list. You should also send out emails that contain helpful, engaging content. You can use your blog posts as content but you should also use original content in your emails too. Mix it up.

WordPress Affiliate Plug-In

There's one type of text ad that I highly recommend and that's WordPress Affiliate plugin that automatically inserts professional-looking ads for Clickbank products on your blog:

I think you need to go to the site and check out the video, Plug-In's are amazing and I have proved it time and time again that a Wordpress Blog will get to front page of Google if it has the correct SEO on it than anything else.
